This is a nice gift to sit on dad’s desk or computer table. All you need is an old cd, some self hardening clay, fish tank gravel (which comes in some really beautiful colours now), glue, paper and pens.

First cut the paper to fit perfectly onto the printed side of the cd. Decorate it however you like and stick it to the cd. Mould a piece of clay into a ball (approx. golf sized) and push the cd into it. This should now stand if you push it onto the table to flatten the base. Now just press in the fish gravel to decorate.

If your dad is a handy man you could press little nuts, bolts and screws into the clay instead.
