Quite a fiddly activity this, but the results are quite pretty.
You will need scissors, colourful magazines or coloured paper, cocktail
sticks, glue and thread or elastic.
You may need an adult to help you with this part: choose your page from
the magazine, and draw some narrow triangles across the width of the page, then carefully cut them out. The widest part of the triangle should be no more than 2cm across.
Now start to roll the triangle onto your cocktail stick starting at the
widest point. This is really quite fiddly! Now glue down the point of the triangle and remove your bead from the stick.
Repeat the process as many times as you like. You can now thread them
onto string or elastic to make necklaces and bracelets. You could even glue three or four onto a piece of card with a safety pin on the back to make a brooch. These make wonderful gifts.
