What you need:
one and a half paper plates per child
thin string or thread
beads or buttons
glue
pens or pencils
sharp needle or hole punch
What you do:
First glue the half plate upside down onto the edge of the whole plate
so that you are left with a pocket. Now use the needle or hole punch to put holes regularly around the edge of the plate. The child can now over sew or running stitch all the way around the edge, threading either
buttons or beads for decoration. Now use either pens or pencils to decorate the rest of the plate. tape some thread or ribbon to the back at the top for hanging. We gave these as mothers day gifts with pen and
notepad inside, but you could put just about anything in them.
